The shops will be able to make even more money from the sale of your donations if you would like to ‘Gift Aid’ them. By gift aiding your donations the charity will be able to claim an additional 25% back from HMRC on the sale of these goods. Anyone can gift aid their donations provided that they are tax payers and will have paid sufficient tax to cover the claim.
