We have a dedicated room for pre-booked respite care. Many patients come for a regular week or two-week stay.
Referral to the respite room is the same as for all Continuing Care rooms.
Do I have to pay for this service?
Respite care is not a free service, many of the patients requiring respite care have a personal budget which can support this, others may be eligible for Clinical Commissioning Group funding. Several patients do self-fund. Many patients return year after year for respite care.
The fees are dependent on the individual patient’s care needs.
