Gift Aid
What is Gift Aid?
By signing a Gift Aid declaration, we can claim an extra 28p from the Government for every £1 you give, making your donation go even further. £10 can be turned into £12.80 at no extra cost to you.
Who can Gift Aid donations?
To qualify for Gift Aid, what you pay in Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the tax year must at least equal the amount that we could claim. For example, if you make a donation of £50 we can claim an extra £14.10 Gift Aid from the Government so you must have paid at least £14.10 in Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the tax year.
How does it affect me?
All we need you to do is to sign a Gift Aid declaration. The rest is up to us. We then claim the extra money from the Government. You do not need to do anything else.
Do I need to sign a Gift Aid declaration for each donation?
You only need to sign a Gift Aid declaration once because it can also apply to donations that you might make in future. However, if your circumstances alter and you no longer pay an amount of Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax equal to the tax that we reclaim on your donations you must notify us.
