Meet the fundraising department

Gill Cronin is our Head of Fundraising and joined the team in June 2007. Gill has overall responsibility for the department and she has specific responsibility for looking after our business supporters and for legacy fundraising. Gill is delighted to join this dynamic team and is dedicated to making sure that St Peter & St James continues to go from strength to strength.

Rosie Wyer is our Community Fundraiser and has worked at St Peter & St James for four and a half years. She works very closely with the fifteen local Support Groups who fundraise on our behalf and goes out to talk to local schools, churches and clubs, encouraging them to fundraise on behalf of St Peter & St James. Rosie facilitates the events run by our community supporters as well as working with our fundraising team organizing larger events, such as our annual Fun Run or Walk and Lights of Love service. Rosie also produces 'Caring' magazine three times a year, which is distributed to around 10,000 supporters.

Karen Lambert joined the team in August 2005 and is our Fundraising, Media & Marketing Administrator. She is closely involved in media liaison and is responsible for producing press releases and literature about St Peter & St James such as our information leaflets, patient packs and Annual Review. She maintains the website and is involved in promoting fundraising events. She also helps Support Groups with promotional material and collection boxes.

Jo Claxton joined St Peter & St James in June 2006 and is our Fundraising Clerical Assistant. She deals with all the daily banking and recording on the database and has become our Gift Aid expert ensuring that we claim as much as possible from the Government! Jo also writes all of our thank you letters and is responsible for managing our Christmas card sales, a task that requires early planning usually starting in January!

Kerensa Russell joined the team in July 2007 and is our Charity Liaison Fundraiser. Kerensa is responsible for applying to grant-making Trusts which involves ensuring that applications are made for the right project at the right time to the appropriate Trust and developing existing relationships. With Gill, she will be identifying and approaching High Net Worth individuals in our area to ask for their support. Kerensa is looking forward to being part of "The Team" as we approach an incredibly exciting time at St Peter & St James.
